Daniel Anderson

Daniel began his time in the fire service in 1979 with the Lee’s Summit Fire Department. Daniel left as a Fire Specialist in 1986 to become a member of the Lenexa Fire Department, Lenexa, Kansas. He completed his fire service in 1997 as a Battalion Chief and Director of the Fire Investigation Unit, where he lead and directed investigation teams on scene investigation, coordinated training and established standard operation procedures.

From August 1986 – June 1996: Daniel was a Special Investigator with both Jacobs Investigations, Inc., in Lee’s Summit, Missouri and Independent Insurance Investigations, Inc., in Overland Park, Kansas. In June 1996 to January 1997 he was a Special Investigator with Consolidated Forensic Investigations, Inc. These three companies are no longer in operation.

In January 1997 Anderson Investigations, LLC, began and has grown into the largest fire investigation firm in the Kansas City area.

Daniel is an affiliate faculty with Kansas City Kansas Community College teaching fire science classes in the school of Mathematics / Science / Technology. He is also the Sr. Fire Consultant with Humatec, Inc. in Kansas City, Missouri.

Daniel has a Degree in Fire Science, and is a licensed Private Detective in the State of Kansas. Daniel is a Certified Fire Investigator through the Missouri Division of Fire Safety. He has rendered expert testimony concerning fire origin and cause in the States of Kansas and Missouri and was awarded the 1993 State of Kansas Fire Investigator of the Year by the International Association of Arson Investigators.
