Steve Wilson is the Senior Investigator with Anderson Investigations, LLC. After spending six years in the fire service as a firefighter with the City of Leawood, Kansas and the Fire Marshal for the City of Lenexa, Kansas he became a Fire Marshal with the Kansas State Fire Marshal’s Office. In 1988 he left the Fire Marshal’s Office to become a Special Investigator with Jacobs Investigation Incorporated.
From 1990 through 1998 he was a fire investigator or manager with INS Investigations Bureau, Incorporated, Aetna Life and Casualty Company and Unified Investigations and Sciences, Incorporated. In 1998 he became a Senior Investigator with Consolidated Forensic Investigations, Incorporated. In March of 2005 he joined the team at Anderson Investigations, LLC where he is currently employed.
During his career he has testified in both Civil and Criminal Trials in Federal and State Courts. He has been involved in the investigation of over 3,000 fires.
In 1987 he was awarded the Fire Investigator of the Year by the Kansas Chapter of the International Association of Arson Investigators.
During his career from 1977 through 1986 he has served as an Instructor for classes offered to Kansas City Kansas Community College, Smith County Kansas Fire and Arson Investigation School and the Kansas State Fire School.
He is a certified fire investigator. His professional affiliations include membership in the IAAI, IAAI Missouri Chapter and the IAAI Kansas Chapter. He is a Licensed Private Detective through the State of Kansas.
